Congratulations to your students for participating in the 2025 Economics World Cup.

You can find the case study they solved below.

Team EconBadger,
Raha International School

My favourite part of competing in the Economics World Cup was the development project because it felt like playing a game. I could also tell a lot of work had been put into creating it, and it certainly had a lot of application to real life.

Team The Ecogenie,
St. George’s – The British International School

The Economics World Cup was a great opportunity to understand how economists guide projects, and it helped us understand what a future in this field could look like. Thank you for that.

Team The Boom n Busters,
Halcyon London International School

The Economics World Cup has been a fantastic way for all of our team to cooperate and learn new skills, so thank you for this opportunity!

Team Wolves of Mussoorie,
Woodstock International School

We believe that the skills we have developed from participating in the Economics World Cup are far more transferable to real-life economic work than what any textbook could teach.

Team Long River Capital Management,

Institut Auf dem Rosenberg, Switzerland

The case study was challenging, thought-provoking, and captivating! The Economics World Cup shows how significant economic decisions really are, and how they can shape entire countries. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience!

Team The Market Failures,
Eerde International Boarding School

Working with my classmates in the Economics World Cup has been a very fun experience, and it has been great to see how the stuff we learn in class connects to actual decisions companies and countries companies make.

Team Megyann,
Raffles Girls' School

The Economics World Cup was a rewarding experience that really opened our eyes to how economics works in the real world. We are glad we got to be part of it, and we definitely enjoyed it.

Team United Econ,
United World College Costa Rica

Taking part in the Economics World Cup as a group and roleplaying as consultants was a new experience for us, but it brought us closer together. In the end, we are proud of what we accomplished and all that we learned.

The Yale Young Economics Scholars,
The Mount Vernon School

I am still exploring different things, but I have recently felt that economics is the path I want to pursue on a more serious level. The EWC has been a great starting point in economics-related extracurriculars for me, helping me understand economic thinking rather than just learning more theory, which I believe should be the focus of every economics competition.

Team The APH Pengwins,
The Academy at Penguin Hall

Although none of us had prior experience in economics before entering, we all feel that we have come out of it better. The Economics World Cup gave us a sense of what it is like to be actual economists, while also offering leadership opportunities and insight into what effective teamwork looks like. We believe we have grown tremendously through competiting, and we are very proud to have been part of such a fantastic international competition.

Team Coligopoly,
European International School

At first, I didn't know what to expect going into the Economics World Cup since it was the first economics competition I had entered. But it exceeded all my expectations. The case was realistic, and it felt like I was actually a consultant working on it.

Team Money Monkeys,
Oberoi International School

Participating in the Economics World Cup has been an intense yet incredibly rewarding experience for our team, and we have had the opportunity to stretch our understanding of economics and ethics far beyond the classroom. We are proud of how far we have come, and even more exicted about where this experience will take us next.
