Round 1: Individual online test
30 multiple choice questions

Note: You and all your teammates will take this exam individually.










+3 points for correct answer
-2 points for a blank answer
(in the real world, there is an opportunity cost to doing nothing)
-5 points for the wrong answer
(in development economics, real lives are at stake, and we cannot risk making mistakes)
If you or anyone in your team places in the top 15% of individual test takers, the entire team qualifies for the Finals.
(Tip: signing up in larger groups will increase your odds of qualifying)


Round 2 - Final Round: Team Project
1 week to submit group project

1. Your team receives a real development project.


2. Your team comes up with a solution for a real community. You can share your solution as either:
a. A Video (max 5 minutes)
b. A Report (max 2 pages / 1000 words)
c. A Presentation (max 10 slides)
d. A Podcast (max 10 minutes)


3. A jury reviews your submission.
